The overarching theme in Rachel’s expanding practice comes from a place of humanity. Her visual language is both authentic and riddled. With a close fascination for the day-to-day idiosyncrasies, she captures moments fuelled by the intricacies of life. Interactions with strangers under the sun, flourishing in shadowed subcultures, and fleeting glimpses into alternate lives; all come into the frame to narrate the human experience that travels beyond the limitations of language and culture.


              These photographs also represent moments she is intrinsically drawn to in solitude, existing as an extension of herself—of always recognizing the particular, while appreciating the peculiar.
